Mr. Poprawa attended Michigan State University for undergraduate studies and then graduated with distinction from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1978. While in law school, he was a member of Law Review, Moot Court Board of Directors and selected to the National Order of Barristers.

Before joining Grewal Law PLLC, he was in private practice in East Lansing for over 37 years. While the majority of his practice has been in the tri-county area, he has handled cases all over the lower peninsula in probate, circuit and district courts. He is licensed and has practiced in the United States District Court for both the Eastern and Western District of Michigan. He was also an adjunct professor at Cooley Law School.

Mr. Poprawa has a wealth of experience in matters of divorce, custody, child and spousal support, property settlements and has also assisted families in crisis involved in neglect, abuse, delinquency and other family law related matters. He is a certified mediator in both domestic and civil matters. Mr. Poprawa also defends people charged with all felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses including drunk driving and drug crimes.
